Preserving Artisanal Heritage, Expanding Global Luxury
Rugs have long been symbols of wealth and artistry, originating in ancient Persia and Central Asia. Hand-knotted and intricately designed, they once adorned royal palaces and elite homes. Today, Diamond Carpets preserves this heritage, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Our motto,"Weaving Luxury, One Knot at a Time,"reflects our mission to bring timeless, handcrafted rugs into contemporary spaces, offering luxury for today’s homeowners.

Our Craftsmanship
1977-THE BEGINNING
In 1975, following the state of emergency declared by Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India, the country’s economy faced severe turmoil, leading to significant imbalances in the stock market and commodities trading. This situation left many basic producers and a large segment of the population struggling with unemployment and poverty. During this challenging time, Mr. Kailash Chand Jain, the fourth and youngest son of a 500-year-old artisan family, ventured into the handmade carpet industry, supporting and promoting numerous underprivileged carpet weavers. At 46 years old, Mr. Jain initially explored the potential of hand-knotted carpets in the domestic market, which ultimately paved the way for supply to the export market. Drawing from ancient family arts and design books passed down through generations, he developed a variety of historically inspired carpet designs, with intricate details that tell legendary stories through each rug. With the right resources and systematic management in place, Mr. Kailash Chand established the Diamond Group in Agra in 1977.1985- KALA MAHAL -> NEW YORK
Driven by the vision to harness growth amid challenging economic conditions, the Diamond Group embarked on a journey to directly export rugs and carpets. Recognizing the rising international demand, the idea was born to create something fresh, durable, and functionally superior. This led to the development of an enhanced version of hand-knotted rugs, with a texture that was stronger and more resilient than ever before. In 1985, Diamond Group proudly sent its first consignment of high-quality, 100 knots per square inch oriental collection to the USA. Thus began an extraordinary journey, transforming the essence of Indian craftsmanship from the quaint streets of Agra to the bustling avenues of New York.2016-DIAMOND VALLEY
In a groundbreaking move, Diamond Group established its first-ever in-house complete supply chain facility for hand-knotted rugs and carpets in 2016. This innovative initiative ensured full traceability, overseeing every aspect from raw material procurement to final dispatch. Committed to sustainability, Diamond Group prioritises responsible sourcing of raw materials and adheres to best industry practices to foster a healthier environment. The company has implemented various measures to enhance ecological well-being, including utilising renewable energy, creating efficient water harvesting systems, and eliminating plastic waste. In addition, Diamond Group launched the Go Green project, focusing on organic practices that promote the health and vitality of both nature's flora and fauna. This commitment to environmental stewardship reflects the company’s dedication to creating a better world for future generations while continuing to craft exquisite rugs and carpets.
